Welcome to
Building a Place for History
Dr. Anthony Broccoli is a Distinguished Professor of Environmental Science at Rutgers University and Co-Director of the Rutgers Climate Institute. Dr. Broccoli studies changes in climate, both past and future, with a goal of better understanding the mechanisms responsible for such changes. He uses numerical models of the climate system in his research, carefully comparing their results with evidence from the climate record. Prior to joining Rutgers, Dr. Broccoli was a research meteorologist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory in Princeton, one of the world’s premier climate modeling centers.
