Building a Place for History
Jim Hall has been the Chief of Cultural Resources for Delaware State Parks for the last 8 years. Managing Delaware’s Resident Curatorship program is one of many job responsibilities in the position including oversight of other Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control historic preservation initiatives, Section 106 compliance, an active “Time Travelers” public archeology program, and serving as the statewide Historic Weapons/Black Powder Safety officer for parks programming. A Pennsylvania native, Jim graduated with a degree in History & Political Science from Penn State’s Behrend campus in Erie and has worked in a multitude of historic and outdoor education sites in a variety of technical and education capacities. His wife Katie is the Historic Markers Coordinator for Delaware Public Archives and they live at scenic Trap Pond in Laurel DE.
