Beth Harpell has been specializing in period properties for over 20 years, and established HistoricHouseHunter.com to provide a dedicated source for homes of character. Through her specialized website, she targets market vintage and historic properties of the history-rich northern New Jersey area. Having enjoyed decades of personal, hands-on experience in preservation while working on three of her own early home restorations, she brings a wide spectrum of knowledge to each situation. Her projects include a c.1790 Colonial Saltbox, a c.1860 Greek Revival Colonial, and a c.1753 Stone Bankhouse with French Huguenot influence that she and her husband saved from demolition and are currently restoring (with its Letter of Eligibility for the State and National Register of Historic Places due to its “extreme rarity of form and style”, according to the NJ State Historic Preservation Office). She’s been featured in publications as an expert in her niché, and her listings have been selected for: County Home Magazine, The New York Times, The New Jersey Realtor Magazine, The National Association of REALTORS®–REBAC Magazine Plus—Listing Featured on The NBC TODAY Show’s Real Estate Segment.
