Billy Neumann has been working in Historic Preservation and historic programming for 20+ years. He was a 2004 graduate of Drew University’s Historic Preservation Certification Program while he acted as chair of Rutherford’s Historic Preservation Commission, attended to the borough’s Planning Board, and consulted on the town’s Visioning Committee. He is the past chair of Bergen County’s Historic Preservation Advisory Board, and the present Vice Chairman of Preservation New Jersey. He has worked through four successful nominations to the NJ State and National Registers of Historic Places and authored three books on local history. Billy is a popular tour leader and lectures on local history, digital preservation, and professional photography. He is a retired Adjunct Professor of Commercial Photography from the School of Visual Arts in NYC and the third generation to live in (and preserve) his family’s 1870’s farmhouse in the Borough of Rutherford, NJ.
