Lambert Castle, built in 1892 as the residence and showplace of silk manufacturer Catholina Lambert, once stood on a 53-acre estate with an art gallery, gatehouse, gardens, and observation tower. Only the castle, carriage house, and tower remain today. After a $7 million restoration, the Castle reopened in January 2026. Lost decorative elements were reinterpreted using contemporary materials and digital fabrication, reflecting Lambert’s innovative spirit. Plans for the lost North Wing gallery evolved into an immersive virtual reality experience, expanding access to the site’s history.
