Elizabeth Dowd
Resource Interpretive Specialist, New Jersey State Park Service
Elizabeth Dowd began her career in the 1990s in the North Carolina State Historic Preservation Office as an Environmental Review Specialist and as a Preservation Planner in Greenville, NC. Upon returning to her native New Jersey, she was a Historic Preservation Specialist at the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park. For the past twenty-plus years, Elizabeth has been a Resource Interpretive Specialist for the New Jersey State Park Service where she works on planning events, creating exhibits, collections management, and supporting friends organizations. She holds a MA in History with a Concentration in Historic Preservation from Wake Forest University and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University. In her spare time, Elizabeth is the proud mom of a special-needs son, a poet, and animal lover.
