Kathleen Humphreys

Registrar, Morris County Park Commission

Kathleen “Katie” Humphreys has been the Registrar for the Morris County Park Commission (MCPC) since 2017, managing its historic artifact, image, and archival collections. She began her public history career over 15 years ago following time as a teacher. Her current work focuses heavily on public service –what are the activities of registration, historic preservation, and exhibition that provide the most value to the public. This focus has led to work ranging from exploring the interconnectedness of museum, archival, library, and historic preservation disciplines to utilizing holistic planning models for supporting the welfare of historic structures and collections across the MCPC’s diverse holdings. As part of that she was a key participant in the two phase NEH funded research project, Sustainable Management of Collections Environments with Limited Controls.
