After one year, he landed a job as an auditor with Price Waterhouse. He spent 38 years with PW taking his work to Africa, Australia, and Russia, as well as many locations across the United States. In addition, he was elected President of the Manhattan CPA Chapter. Barry retired as Director of Retired Partner Affairs activities.

Upon retirement Barry became involved in politics and was elected to his town’s Council. He also became involved with several town committees like the Environmental Committee and Barrier-Free ( handicap ) Committee.

Currently, he is the Treasurer and a Trustee of the Bergenfield Museum. Barry loves maintaining  the old buildings .His current project is restoring the “water wheel ‘ that generated the power to turn the grist mill, saw mill and later the equipment in the chair factory. He is looking toward helping the environment  by connecting the wheel to a generator to produce electricity for lighting. Also, it will be a great educational tool to show school children who visit the museum the use of natural resources. In his words: it’s like completing the circle –from water to electricity to power.
