Brian Blazak
Brian Blazak is a historic preservation professional and Commissioner of the Jersey City Historic Preservation Commission (HPC), where his tenure since 2018 has included two terms as Chair. Prior to assuming his role as a commissioner, he supported the HPC’s work as a Historic Preservation Specialist within the Jersey City Department of City Planning. He is currently a Senior Preservationist with the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, where he works with building owners and applicants to guide the rehabilitation and alteration of individual landmarks and properties within the City’s numerous historic districts. Brian holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the Pratt Institute.
