Kristin Swanton

Kristin Swanton is a Principal Environmental Specialist with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Syracuse University in Anthropology and Religion with a minor in Native American Studies and her Masters of Arts Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Applied Archaeology. Prior to joining the NJDOT in 2017, she worked for state and federal agencies, Native American tribes, universities, and private engineering firms conducting archaeological surveys in the Midwest and Eastern United States, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and India. Currently, she provides environmental compliance for capital program projects in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties.
