Margaret M. Hickey
Margaret M. Hickey, AIA, serves as the Principal Historic Preservation Specialist for the firm of Connolly & Hickey Historical Architects and is responsible for ensuring projects comply with the Standards. Margaret holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Margaret has prepared numerous National Register Nominations, Historic Preservation Plans, Historic Structure Reports, and design and contract documents for restoration and rehabilitation for a variety of building types. Margaret, along with her partner Thomas Connolly, AIA, have a strong affinity for the preservation and adaptive reuse of industrial and transportation-related historic resources having worked on a number of Morris Canal-related sites, mills, and train stations since the creation of their firm over 20 years ago. Margaret is managing the CSNJs multi-year Morris Canal Register Nomination Expansion Project.
